These treats are very filling, and healthy, too! Great to take along with you for a quick burst of energy and to fight a sugar craving. But, more important, are the health benefits! They contain ingredients that have been used for thousands of years to calm the digestive system (great for those on an auto-immune protocol!)

  • 1/2 cup organic coconut butter
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cardamon
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla powder

Melt coconut butter and pour into a medium sized bowl. Mix in spices one by one until well blended. Let cool a bit until you can roll in your hand and make a ball. Roll into 1” balls and put in refrigerator for an hour until the coconut butter is solid.

These can be stored at room temperature for several days.

Great for a snack or dessert, these simple, healthy blondies could be just what you need for your lifestyle change! (Do not use if you are on the candida diet due to the honey.)

  • 2 cups of nut butter (can be pecan, almond or your choice)
  • 1 cup of honey (use raw, local honey)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • Coconut oil to oil the pan

  1. Oil a 9 x 13 in pan
  2. Mix nut butter, honey, eggs and baking soda until smooth, spoon into pan, spreading evenly
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes, until middle is set.
  4. Let cool. Cut into bars when cool and store in refrigerator.

Kombucha Part 4

Before we get to the last video – I wanted to share the recipe with you so you can have it in writing. I am also sharing a tips and tricks video that we have learned over the years to help you with your kombucha making!

Kombucha Recipe

1 gallon of water (filtered or distilled)
2 cups organic cane sugar or other natural sugar (sugar quality is important and the glucose content is “eaten” by the good bacteria during fermenting)
10 black tea or green tea bags (we use decaffeinated green tea)

Boil water on the stove. Remove from heat and add sugar, stir until dissolved.
Add teabags and let steep for about 15 minutes.
Remove the teabags and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
Put the tea into the tea jar and add the SCOBY and “liquor”. The SCOBY will float on the top. Cover loosely with the lid (do not tighten as the Kombucha creates air while fermenting that needs to escape) and let it stand for about a week in an area that stays about 75 degrees.

Pour the liquor from the jar through the spigot at the bottom into bottles, cap and put in the refrigerator.

We also second ferment our Kombucha by putting the liquor into 2 liter soda bottles with 8oz of juice (grape, pineapple, apple, or your favorite flavor) and let sit for another 2-3 days before putting into the refrigerator. We use soda bottles because we can cap them and they are strong enough to hold the carbonation. Be careful when you open the bottle it might spew out!

Here is Part 4!
