Kidneys – the Main Blood Filter

Kidneys are two reddish, bean-shaped organs located on either side of your spine in the middle of your back. The main job of the Kidney is to filter your blood. They are about the size of your fist and keep you healthy by maintaining the correct balance of water and other substances in your body. They process about 40 gallons of fluid every day, collecting toxins, nutrients and water, sending harmful waste and excess water and nutrients to the bladder to be flushed out of the body. Kidneys also produce several hormones that control blood pressure, produce red blood cells and activate Vitamin D.

Cleansing the kidneys is important to remove the toxins that accumulate in their tiny filters. Eating a proper diet high in Vitamin C and fiber, regular exercise and deep breathing (Qi Gong or Yoga), and regular organ detoxing with Acu-Detox will improve kidney health and lower chances of kidney disease.
